Notifications Can Go Straight to Hell
How many notifications do you need? As many as you need.
I need to hear from my family and son’s teacher in case of emergency. All other notifications are costly.
Some are needed to earn a living, but they still come at a cost that must be factored.
If you’re not budgeting for notifications, you’re letting others spend your time and attention.
If you’re letting others spend your time and attention, no wonder your anxiety increases. It would be astonishing if it didn’t. Plus, you’re making it harder on yourself to find the time and attention to deal with your anxiety.
Put your notifications under a microscope. Make them rare.
